The sky was really beautiful tonight. Our weather has been sunny and clear. Perfect weather but I haven't been active in terms of running or bicycling because I had a chest cold and terrible coughs for over a week. So I have been indoors except for venturing out for dinner or shopping trips.
This is the first day of Christmas. The homeowners association put lights up and wrapped tinsel around trees that line the streets and roundabouts of our community. I guess we will hang lights on our house and fetch us a tree this week!
Havi surprised us by hiding in the kitchen cabinet. She must really like it there because she doesn't come down for anything. Not even for treats.
Elgy is doing great. She follows me every where. From the time she wakes up until the time she sleeps. She sits on the bathroom counter, accompanies me in the kitchen, and sleeps in bed next me. I enjoy her company too :)
John stays busy at work and takes care of everything around the house.
He hung up the wine rack the other night. This area will be the wine bar.
There is just the two of us and two small cats yet it is amazes us how much upkeep there seems to be but that is not meant to sound like a complaint. It means we are blessed to have laundry to wash and fold (from the clothes we wear to keep us warm) and dishes to clean and put away (from the good meals we've eaten) and carpet to vacuum and tiles to mop (because we not only have a roof over our head but we live a beautiful home). All these things and more I am grateful for every day!
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. We celebrated early when John's parents were in town the weekend prior. So the past four day weekend for me was super mellow. We actually went out for sushi after I was feeling good enough to eat in public without having coughing fits.
Tomorrow is the start of a new week and I am looking forward to wrapping up development projects before the end of the year. With two weeks left of the semester to go, I have a term paper due, a quiz and finals before the Christmas break.
Soon it will be 2014...but I hope to make the most of the remaining days of December!!
