Reupholstered Dining Chairs

The gray-blue suede fabric on our dining chairs were magnets for cat hair so I reupholstered them.

Hopefully this fabric will be better suited for a household of cats.

This YouTube video, "Quick and Easy: Re-Cover a Stool or Chair Seat" was helpful.
This dining set has gone through some changes. The set used to have a charcoal theme.
Then we painted the chair and table frames white to blend better with our townhouse.

And now new fabric to coordinate better with the flooring.

Ooo - shiny floors, I bet the cats like skidding around on that. Are the chairs up on the table to keep the cats off?

Great job on the chairs. I think they made the difference in brightening up the dining area.

Where did you purchase your fabric? I'm thinking about doing this to a set of bar stools.

Dolly I got the fabric from Etsy.com from a seller called MyFabricStudio. http://www.etsy.com/shop/MyFabricStudio.

Joe the cats love the coolness of the floors! I turn the chairs after I clean the glass table and suede seats to sweep and mop underneath. For that time, the chairs are cat hair free and the glass is free of paw prints.

Thank you for sharing to us this blog on how to redo bar stools. I must say that doing some DIY on home furniture is a great way to save the furniture and your cash as well. Moreover, bar stools give off a more casual dining vibe, especially when coupled with a counter-height table. Many homes also have high breakfast counters that also need bar stools.
