Here We Are

Eight hours in the car with Havi meowing the entire way in the hamster cage we purchased to transport our girls (so she and Elgy can have plenty of room instead of being cramped in a cat carrier) we made it to our new home.

The rental is in a lovely neighborhood overlooking a golf course in the back yard...has vaulted ceilings, lots of windows, and plenty of space (much more than our home in Vegas) but it was not yet ready for us to move in to.

So we packed up the girls and secured a hotel room for tonight. The movers will arrive tomorrow to deliver our stuff so I hope things go smoothly with the home and we can get settled in. If not, it will be another night for our family to cozy up in a room for the evening.

Yesterday: moving truck loaded with our household items.

I missed something - so an eight hour drive means that you've given up on Vegas? (I have to reorganize my links? Losing Vegas connections).

Where did you end up?

Hi Joe, I still love Vegas but I received a job offer I couldn't refuse so we relocated to Reno. Everything happened so fast that I didn't have enough time to say all the farewells I would have liked to. I hope you will still keep in touch.

I hope things work out. But I have to join the other guys in saying I miss the photos of you at the Vegas pool parties. (and the local restaurant recommendations - I've tried a few and they are pretty good)

Thank you Joe. Vegas pool parties aren't over...though we'll have to wait until summer rolls around again. This year was too short. I'm glad you tried some of the local restaurants. :-) We will miss them but won't be away from Vegas for long as we still have family and friends back there.
