Strange but Familiar

I walk in to the room and take a seat. Besides one other person, the space was unoccupied. Soon others trickle in behind me and sit down a few chairs away. I have been here before but it never seems to get easier. There is no reason for me to be afraid yet the fear is there in my chest. Soon the introductions began as I spoke to the group. I can hear myself but I'm not sure if they can hear me. It doesn't matter now, in a few hours this will soon be over. Then I will be back here again the next evening, and again the following week for four more weeks. I find comfort knowing it's just a class, and the other people are just grad students like myself. We are here to learn and collaborate--better yet about a topic we are all interested in: Technologies in Improving Human Performance.

we love hearing about your travels and adventures, but everyone is dying to know...when are we going to see your magnificant body in one of your sexy malibu strings suits?

@Johnny and Joe: thank you :-)

@Anonymous: the weather hasn't been really nice and I haven't had any opportunity except last weekend to be poolside. It's just starting to heat up and I cannot wait to get in my bikinis!!
