Wine, Spice, and Everything Nice

We worked around the house Saturday and Sunday of our Memorial Day weekend. I enjoy being a homebody whenever I get the chance and allow my thoughts to wonder and travel while I work on little projects around the house.

John helped me anchor wine racks on the wall so I can display the bottles picked for their cute labels. Later I added these Kamenstein stainlees steel magnetic spice containers to the side of the fridge.

By Saturday afternoon, we were ready to lay out by the pool so we sat back at John's parents' home. They had gone to visit their property in northern Nevada. When they returned later that afternoon, we had supper on the patio (grilled hot dogs with all the fixings, chili, and salad) yum-yum!! I love spending time with our family.
By the evening, we were pooped and ready to veg out on the couch with the kitties.
I think Memorial Weekend was the first stretch of nice weather that I can remember so we went to the DayDream pool at the M Resort near our home. We met some nice people who sat near us including Stacey. She liked my Malibu Strings tank dress so I gave it to her but that left me with no cover up to walk through the casino back to the car, LOL (~-Update: Stacey later e-mailed to tell me she went in the pool and left the shirt on the chair and someone took it!! How sad!). Luckily the pool had parking nearby and a private road that ran behind it so I easily went out the back when John picked me up. We headed towards home with plenty of the evening left to ourselves.
So far not an eventful weekend but what I enjoy most is doing whatever we feel like as long as we are together with those we love most.

I decided to leave a comment today b/c I have just moved back to Vegas. And this is my way to encourage you to keep writing...

@Anonymous: thank you for the visiting and I truly appreciate the comment for encouragement :). I'll keep writing and apologize if there are too many posts on the cats. They are part of the family and on of the small things in life that bring me joy!

@Randy: thank you! The wine racks are from IKEA but we really like that they are functional yet modern and simple. :)

@Notthestig: thank you for visiting! It has been a while since I put on a suit--that's for sure and my skin was pale compared to what they were so I need to get plenty of sun this summer.
