Botanical Gardens at Bellagio and Paris Cafe

John was off from work on Sunday so we took Eric and Rob to view the Harvest Show in the Botanical Gardens at Bellagio.

Like last year, there were fields of giant pumpkins and squash but the carved pumpkins and oversized tea table was missing. The water wheel and walking tree were also present from last year's display but the scarecrow was a nice new addition.

I liked the potato vines that were like the purple and green ones my mom-in-law cut for my office.

The show was beautiful; there was even a cute sprite sitting by the venus fly trap. Wouldn't it be neat to have a garden like this in my backyard? That would never happen because I'd never keep up with it, LOL.

The guys had about all they could take so we left Bellagio for Paris in search of a place to eat lunch.

The day was sunny and warm but not too hot and there was hardly a breeze in the air. This was the first time I've worn jeans in...a year (not because of the heat; it has more to do with my job). Quite comfy I tell you!

We decided to have lunch at Le Cafe and since there was a little wait, John and I went to get drinks at the bar so we could enjoy them while passing time.

By the time we sat down to eat, I lost my appetite so I ordered another Bloody Mary for lunch while the guys had sandwiches. Rob is an artist for Disney Studios in Burbank and he drew Mickey on the back of a card. I tried to shade the cartoon character but screwed up so Rob turned Mickey into Minnie, LOL.

We tried a hand at the slots but it was not our lucky day so if you can't win, join 'em.

We had a great weekend together but it was time to say our goodbyes before Rob and Eric hit the road towards California. Eric will be moving to San Francisco where he accepted a job offer so we will miss him. BUT this means we will get to visit a place I have never been before so I'm looking forward to taking a trip.

I love the gardens. I can't wait to go back to Vegas. I think we'll be in town sometime in May. A long time from now!

You will be around to see the display for spring, Corrin!
