Shaking one on Friday

After this week, I came home on Friday and thought a martini cocktail shaken, not stirred will do nicely. Unlike James Bond and how he likes his "Vesper" prepared, I keep my dirty martini to the basics:
  1. 1 tablespoon of vermouth in an empty, chilled martini glass. Swirl the vermouth around to coat the inside the glass and pour out the remaining vermouth.
  2. Combine ice, 2 jigs gin and 1-2 tablespoons olive juice (I like mine dirtier so I use 2-3 tablespoons) in a shaker and shake until the contents are ice-cold.
  3. Strain the gin and olive juice into the martini glass.
  4. Garnish with olives (jalapeƱo or bleu cheese stuffed olives my favorites) and/or cocktail onions. I also found almond stuffed olives but can do without.
