Self Portrait Sunday: Me and Elgy

We invited some friends over for dinner on Sunday night. Our friends, Ryan and Kristen, whom we went to Cabo with last November purchased their home a couple blocks away from us earlier this year. Despite them being near, we've never had them over for dinner so Sunday evening was finally the night!

After my husband and I had finished all the preparations for dinner, I thought I would sit down and knit a little bit when Elgy settled on my lap to groom herself.
I thought this moment would be the perfect opportunity to take a Self Portrait Sunday! But boy, taking a photo of Elgy and myself is harder than I thought it would be. I kept trying to get both of us in the shot and a photo that I was happy with. You see, Elgy has no problems in the looks department, she's photogenic but me on the other hand was trying not to look like warmed over sh*t in every shot.
Finally I took one I was okay with and the angle was not up my nose. Elgy was very patient through it all...LOL. Doesn't she look like she's smiling? She liked taking this Self-Portrait Sunday with me.

(Havi also decided to join in. If you click on this picture to enlarge it, you can see her in the background in the lounge to the right of this picture!)
