After a day out on the lake, it was time to continue working on the next step of our kitchen project: painting the cabinets.

We removed the cabinet doors from their hinges and drawer fronts (labeling them so we do not confuse their placement) and prepped them for painting.
Elgy assisted by pushing the drawers out for me.
As for the paint color, we decided to go with semi-gloss black oil-based paint. Once the wood has been painted, we will mount the new stainless steel hardware and our kitchen will look like a different place. All that will be left to do is paint the white walls of the kitchen.Elgy assisted by pushing the drawers out for me.
That's all for now. We have to get ready to head over to John and Maggie's for our Labor Day BBQ and dinner together; some pool time and mojitos!!

That kitchen is beautiful!
Thank you, Corrin. It's a lot of work but we just love all the extra space that we have now and the new look of the kitchen.
