Screwy Wabbit

Here it is the day Johnny drove the VW Rabbit home.

He wasn't kidding when he said there was a big, black plastic plate on the front and now I understand why he wanted it removed so badly. There aren't just two screws but four screws that attach the cafeteria lunch platter to the front of the car so if we took that off, we'd have four good sized holes in the front bumper. The good news is the dealership will replace the front bumper with one that doesn't have anything drilled to it and they will do that when the wheels come in (hopefully undamaged this time). Then the car will look more like the photos on the VW website.

On a happier note, I really enjoy driving the car. It is fast and fun to drive. The acceleration is awesome no matter what speed I am at. Sitting lower to the ground takes some getting use to. I can see the ashpalt flying beneath me and every imperfection on the road. It's also harder to see around the cars in front of me or around the corner when I come a stop and a tall bush is in my view. All these things are minor...just notes, not really complaints about the car because it is GREAT!!

Finally, geez. We got it Friday when we discovered the wheels were bashed and we said we didn't want to wait any longer.

We'll bring him over once he has his new wheels!

Okay, so some suggestions made include Harry (from hare) and Jack (I like that also because of Jack Daniels though whiskey is not my poison of choice but I still like the name) and Peter (not as in "to Peter out" but Peter Rabbit).
