And Now I See

I can finally see! It was a long week but I had been wearing my last pair of contacts which kept irritating my eyes and so I had to constantly switch between contact lenses and an old pair of glasses that are three prescriptions old. Never mind that it doesn't fit my face either.

I've been thinking more and more about LASIK surgery. Lately I've been fantasizing about what it'd be like to wake up and see clearly without glasses or plastic films on my eyes. As comfortable contacts can sometimes be, they can't quite give me 20/20 accuity.

I think I could save so much time if could wake up, see clearly, and go. Not having to bother with contact solutions, putting them on, soak them in effervescent cleaners, rubbing them, having protein deposits in my eyes, deal with eye infections, getting eye irritants underneath them, the lens ripping, using lens cleaners for my eyeglasses, toting the (lenses and eyeglasses) cases and solutions around...ya get the idea.

With laser-corrected vision, I can just wake up, open my eyes...and (gasp) see!! No lens go fogging up...yada, yada, yada. That would just be awesome!
